The Story Behind unKAGed Events
I founded unKAGed Events after planning my own wedding and discovering my passion for creating unique, personal celebrations that break the mold. For over a decade, I’ve planned events for friends, family, and my activist community. Now, I bring that same creativity and dedication to every wedding I plan.
Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats—marketing executive, nonprofit event coordinator, farmer, and music festival planner—all of which have given me a unique perspective on event planning. These experiences allow me to handle weddings of all sizes and styles, and my attention to detail ensures every celebration is perfectly executed. As a Hudson Valley Wedding Planner and Coordinator, I love helping couples create unforgettable moments.

-Leo Sun, Taurus Moon, Libra rising, an ENFP, a Peacemaker, and Vata-Pitta—oh, and if you couldn’t tell, I’m obsessed with personality quizzes.
-I have a knack for fashion and a sixth sense for finding the best consignment and vintage shops in the Hudson Valley.
-My caffeine content is probably at .8% at all times, and yes, I had a wedding Pinterest board eight years before meeting my husband.

With six years of diverse experience in the event planning industry, I've developed a strong passion for crafting memorable experiences, whether it's a milestone birthday party or a heartfelt engagement celebration. My journey in event planning has equipped me with a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of client needs, and the ability to seamlessly bring visions to life.
In April 2024, I had the opportunity to join the dynamic team at unKAGed, where I contribute my expertise to Day of Coordination and behind-the-scenes preparation. My role involves managing logistics, troubleshooting on the fly, and ensuring that every event is executed flawlessly. At Unkaged, I take pride in helping clients create unforgettable moments, all while maintaining a calm and organized presence in the midst of the excitement.
Why I Created unKAGed Events?
When planning my own wedding, I often felt boxed in by rules about what I could and couldn’t do. That’s why I started unKAGed Events—to help couples break free from the wedding rules "cage" and create celebrations that truly showcase their personalities. (The name "unKAGed" is a play on my initials and my approach to planning and design.)
My mission is to provide every couple with a personalized, exceptional experience from start to finish. I believe that your wedding should feel like an authentic reflection of your personality and love story, and my job is to provide the resources, guidance, and support to make that happen.
